Since 2011, Forbes has published the Under 30 list, which honors people under the age of 30 for their achievements. There are a number of prominent names on the list, for example: Spotify founder Daniel Ek, pop star Rita Ora or Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai. The Under 2016 list has also been published in the German-speaking region since 30 – with 30 listmakers each from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Forbes received around 1.700 applications and nominations for the 2022 list. A total of 90 places were up for grabs. The acceptance rate is therefore around five percent. The jury this year included Snipes founder Sven Voth, Teufel CEO Sascha Mallah and the "Under 30" alumni Alexander Weber (N26).
