Successful premiere for HTH Virtual!

On January 26, the small, fine online event "HTH Virtual: Climate and Health" celebrated its successful premiere. For the first time, this session was organized as a digital "warm-up round" for the large face-to-face event "HTH: Pitch & Partner" on March 30 at Med Uni Graz.

90 interested parties from 30 countries followed the very different inputs that were given live from the Lendhafen Graz, which was converted into a “streaming studio”, for a whole morning. It was moderated by Emma Somerville and Michael Kerschbaumer from the SFG.

In the first key note, Franz Prettenthaler, Director of Joanneum Research LIFE - Institute for Climate, Energy and Society spoke about the consequences of climate change for human health. In the second key note, Lars-Peter Kamolz, Head of the Research Unit for Safety and Sustainability in Healthcare, addressed the question of what sustainable aging actually is and how it can be supported.

The health cluster Human.technology Styria, represented by cluster boss Lejla Pock and business developer Lorenz Neuhäuser, brought three winners of the corporates calls from previous years in front of the digital curtain, before the current corporates - Hannes Allmaier from the research center Virtual Vehicle and Wolfgang Kratky from the association "Smart Aging", formulated their questions for the corporate call.

Lisa-Maria Katholnig, ICS, presented the EU project "DESIRE" (Development of E-Health Solutions Improving Resilience in Europe), which supports SMEs in gaining access to European digital health markets. Tarja Enala, Senior Advisor, Health and Wellbeing, Invest in Finland, also provided important input with her short presentation on the Finnish digital health & health care market.

The online program ended with around 40 pre-booked B2B meetings under the patronage of the Enterprise Europe Network.

The organizer of the online event was the Health Tech Hub Styria, a cooperation of seven regional organizations that bundle their synergies in the fields of health and life sciences in order to show Styria as an attractive business location, to promote international networking and to initiate cooperation.
