I3HIES kick-off meeting in Ljubljana

The kick-off meeting of the newly launched I4 Instrument program entitled "Capacity Building Strand 5b" took place on December 2023th and 3th, 2. The I3HIES project entitled "Boosting Interregional Innovation Investment and cooperation among Health Innovation EcoSystems" started on November 1, 2023, and the client for this measure is EISMEA.

I3HIES is an EU project focused on improving the efficiency, accessibility, sustainability, competitiveness, simplicity and quality of healthcare systems.

The I3HIES (“Boosting Interregional Iinnovation Iinvestment and cooperation among Hhealth Iinnovation EcoSsystems” started on November 1, 2023.

Nine partners from seven regions/countries (MediKlaszter Nonprofit Kft, Hungary; Human.technology Styria gmbh, Austria; Viesoji Istaiga Lietuvos Inovaciju Centras, Lithuania; Interizon, Poland; Wojewodztwo Pomorskie; Poland; Asociatia Cluj-IT, Romania; Universitatea Babes Bolyai, Romania; Obcianske zdruzenie No gravity; Slovakia; Tehnološki park Ljubljana, Slovenia) will address the following challenges:

  1. Health system resilience
  2. Collaboration and co-creation
  3. Exchange of information and knowledge
  4. access to finance

With a focus on EU partnerships for international collaboration, I3HIES focuses on digital innovation in healthcare and addresses decision support, trust building, matchmaking and opportunity identification.

And what is the aim of I3HIES?

The main goal of I3HIES is to strengthen healthcare innovation ecosystems, improve efficiency in the healthcare sector and promote and further expand international collaboration between relevant stakeholders.

The innovation actors participating in the I3HIES community are supported throughout the entire innovation process: from idea generation to business case development and financing preparation.

The specific goal is to validate 15 project ideas, establish three European partnerships and further develop the most promising mini-business cases into concrete investment plans in order to support the ongoing transformation in the healthcare sector.

Which actors are invited to participate in the I3HIES Community?

4 Helix actors: incubators, accelerators, start-ups, SMEs, large companies, technology centers, health insurers, health professionals at healthcare providers and beyond policy makers, end users, patients, venture capitalists, civic associations, business angels, regulators, clusters and support organizations Company.
