With around 300 participants from 19 countries, the Health Tech Hub Styria (HTH) has once again established itself as a central platform for exchange, innovation, and international networking in the fields of HealthTech and Life Sciences. The conference, held on March 25 and 26, 2026, brought together leading figures from research, industry, healthcare, and startups in Graz, providing strong impetus for the future of medicine.
The event focused on numerous high-caliber keynotes and sessions – a few examples of the many inspiring presentations are highlighted here: Michael Fuchsjäger (Medical University of Graz) demonstrated how modern infrastructure and clinical excellence are shaping the radiology of the future. Bernhard Schmidt from Siemens Healthineers provided insights into a new era of CT imaging. Stephan Bastelberger from Roche Diagnostics illuminated the challenges of implementing neurological innovations in clinical practice. Gernot Müller-Putz from Graz University of Technology offered insights into the latest developments at the intersection of neurotechnology and digitalization. The program was complemented by economic and location policy perspectives from Gernot Blümel, who outlined the development of the MARE eHealth technology park in Venice.
Another conference highlight was the Future Zone, where start-ups, research projects and companies presented their latest developments and prototypes and sought direct exchange with potential partners and users.
In addition to the many substantive insights, the intensive networking particularly underscored the character of the HTH: Numerous B2B meetings and personal encounters laid the foundation for new collaborations and projects. The conference aims to accelerate innovation and sustainably strengthen cooperation within the international healthcare ecosystem. A special networking highlight, which also underscored the City of Graz's appreciation for the conference and its participants, was the reception at Graz City Hall.
The Health Tech Hub Styria is organized by Human.technology Styria together with strong partners: In addition to the Styrian Business Promotion Agency SFG and the ICS, the organizing team includes Science Park Graz, JOANNEUM RESEARCH and the Medical University of Graz.
Since 2019, the conference has been held annually in Graz, sustainably strengthening the international visibility of the region. The next Health Tech Hub Styria will take place on March 17 and 18, 2027.
