The PAYER Group celebrated its 80th anniversary at its headquarters in St. Bartholomä. The company welcomed high-ranking international guests from politics, business, and education, as well as long-standing partners and associates, to the official ceremony. Among the guests of honor were the Hungarian Ambassador, Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi, and the Honorary Consul of Hungary, Rudi Roth. The anniversary celebration continued afterward with a private party for employees and their families.
The morning was dedicated to the official ceremony. In a festive setting, the development of the PAYER Group from its founding in 1946 to its current international focus was celebrated. From a regional company, PAYER has grown into an internationally operating group with more than 1.000 employees at four production sites. The consistent combination of innovation, a commitment to quality, and long-term strategic development was particularly emphasized.
CEO Michael Viet emphasizes the importance of strategic investments for the future of the PAYER Group: “Our headquarters in St. Bartholomä has played a central role in PAYER’s development for 80 years. From here, our company has grown and developed into an internationally operating group of companies. The investments of around €35 million in the modernization and automation of our site in recent years, as well as a further €15 million in this anniversary year, are a clear commitment to the location and to our long-term competitiveness.”
Following the ceremony, guests had the opportunity for personal exchange, which further deepened the interdisciplinary dialogue between business, politics and the corporate environment.
In the afternoon, the anniversary celebrations continued with a party for employees. The focus was on showing appreciation for the workforce, reflecting on the company's development, and looking ahead to the future. The importance of the employees as a key factor in the company's eight decades of success was particularly emphasized.
“Three factors have shaped PAYER over the past eight decades: our high quality standards, our innovative strength, and our employees. These success factors also form the basis for our continued growth and our future as an international partner for global market leaders,” CEO Michael Viet continued.
The entire anniversary day reflected the combination of tradition, innovation and future orientation, and underlined the sustainable orientation of the PAYER Group.
