Balu FlexCo

Balu is a smart medication dispenser that automatically reminds elderly people to take their medication and simultaneously informs family members about the dosage status. Only 50% of elderly people in Austria take their medication correctly in their daily lives. This lack of medication adherence often leads to a rapid loss of independence and puts a strain on the care system and families. The Balu medication dispenser counteracts this: it provides reminders, dispenses tablets at the touch of a button, and sends updates directly to family members. This strengthens independence in one's own home and significantly relieves the burden on family caregivers.
