Minnesota is not only the birthplace of the pacemaker, but has also become THE MedTech hotspot of the USA , encompassing everything from global medical technology companies and leading clinics to successful university spin-offs and innovative startups.
The list of renowned companies and research institutions is long and includes, among others, the University of Minnesota, Medtronic, Mayo Clinic, 3M, Abbott, Stryker, and St. Jude. The greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area is home to over 660 medical technology companies and suppliers, making the region an ideal entry point for accessing the US market.
The business trip concludes with a short visit to Chicago , where the AACC diagnostics congress is being held this year and can subsequently be attended individually.

The participation fee of EUR 1.200 per person includes participation in the program as outlined, hotel accommodation (4 nights in a group hotel at approximately EUR 225 per person per night including breakfast), all meals (lunch, dinner, networking evenings), guided tours and bus transfers, and comprehensive support from the Austrian Foreign Trade Center until and including July 22. Costs are as of June 2022. Minor price changes are still possible due to fluctuating fees, expenses, exchange rates, and fuel prices. The participation fee will be processed by Human.technology Styria GmbH.
Special conditions for start-ups: participation fee of EUR 980 per person.
It is expressly stated that flight costs are NOT included in the participation fee. The above flight costs between 1.100 and 1.300 EUR depending on the source. We recommend booking through a travel agent.
