Global developments in recent years have made it clear that our liberal and democratic European Union is increasingly under pressure. It is challenged to prepare itself against diverse threats and attacks and to strengthen its resilience sustainably.
Against this background, we are discussing with experts from the field of security and defense ways to protect our democratic society and highlighting opportunities for the Styrian economy.
The event is part of the "Cyber Security Situation Report" series, which has been running for several years in cooperation between the JOANNEUM RESEARCH and the SILICON ALPS clusters is being implemented. Against the backdrop of global developments, the event program was deliberately expanded to include further aspects of security issues, and the series title was also further developed to reflect this broadening of content. With the involvement of two additional Styrian cluster organizations – the Human.technology Styria and the ACstyria mobility cluster A cross-sectoral and cross-thematic alliance has been formed to jointly advance the topic of Security & Defense in Styria. ACstyria plays a leading role in this initiative, setting key content-related and strategic priorities in the cross-sectoral field of Security & Defense together with its member companies and institutions.
A detailed program will follow shortly.
Participation in the event is free.
We ask for Registration via the ACstyria website no later than June 8, 2026.
