What is astaxanthin?

Astaxanthin is the strongest, naturally occurring antioxidant and is considered the "diamond" among free radical scavengers.
The carotenoid astaxanthin is obtained from the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. The effects of astaxanthin have been studied in numerous applications.
Positive effects have been proven in the treatment of inflammatory diseases, increased blood sugar levels, high blood pressure, as well as in the prevention of UV damage to the skin and in the area of regeneration of skeletal muscles after exercise.

What does BDI do?

BDI BioLife Science developed a closed algae cultivation system, which guarantees a constant and economical production of high-quality algae substances under optimal growth conditions.

State-of-the-art in-house research facilities, supplemented by years of cooperation with renowned universities, form the basis for the know-how in algae research.

The experience gained from this was implemented industrially for the first time in the cultivation plant in Hartberg, Austria.

Your benefits

You will benefit from this event if you are interested in the topic of "healthy aging" and in alternative, plant-based raw materials "made in Styria" and would like to learn more about the possibilities of a seasonally independent cultivation of microalgae on an industrial scale.

And of course you will also get to know people and companies at this networking event who share these interests with you!
