Ticino is increasingly developing into a significant innovation hub in the medtech sector, supported by strong universities and a dynamic startup scene with international appeal. With the Swiss Medtech General Assembly taking place in Lugano on May 18, 2026, the region will further highlight its position within the national industry. The trade mission organized in conjunction with this assembly offers the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the innovation and market potential of this emerging medtech hub through direct exchange, particularly with Ticino-based companies. Take advantage of the opportunity for networking events with local stakeholders, one-on-one meetings with member companies of the Swiss Medtech Association, as well as company visits and engaging presentations. The trade mission will be conducted in cooperation with the Swiss Medtech, the industry association of Swiss medical technology companies carried out. The event takes place parallel to the General Assembly of Swiss Medtech It takes place and brings together companies from across the Swiss medical technology sector in one location – around 250 participants are expected. Take advantage of this rare opportunity for focused professional exchange.

The aim of the business mission is to provide participants with a compact overview of current industry topics and direct access to key players in the Swiss medtech ecosystem through a program specially designed for them around the General Assembly. 

The event is part of the internationalization offensive go international, a joint initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.
