The European Summit of Industrial Biotechnology (ESIB) will take place in Graz from November 10th to 12th, 2026. As one of the largest biotech conferences in Europe, the ESIB offers an international platform for industrial biotechnology – focusing on science, industrial applications, economic frameworks, funding opportunities, policy perspectives and international networking.
In 2026, ESIB will take place jointly with MaPEB – International Conference on Metabolic & Protein Engineering for Biosynthesis. This will bring additional topics such as metabolic engineering, protein engineering, de novo design, and innovative methods for complex biological systems into focus.
Under the motto “Rethink Industrial Biotechnology”, the conference invites participants to rethink industrial biotechnology in a new and comprehensive way – from Circular Bioeconomy and Biotechnology for Environment to Artificial Intelligence & Biopharmaceutical Production and the question of how sustainable value can be created in biotechnology.
