TECHHOUSE and Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark launch new accelerator program in Graz


The innovation experts at TECHHOUSE and Raiffeisen-Landesbank (RLB) Styria are launching a newly designed accelerator program for startups and those who want to become startups in April 2021 at the newly built ZWI Hub for Innovators in Graz. Applications are possible as of now. In addition to the ongoing development of early-stage tech teams, startups and university spin-offs, the main focus is on the collaboration between participating startups and established large companies. Established Austrian industrial companies from various industries have been recruited to partner in this process.

The program is divided into two concurrent Accelerator tracks:
Five startups from the fields of sustainability, artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, financial services and health tech are being selected, as well as six teams that will work on specific challenges in conjunction with industry partners Andritz AG, Primetals Technologies Austria, Christof Industries, the next-incubator of Energie Steiermark, the HASSLACHER Group and Österreichische Hagelversicherung.

In addition to highly relevant workshop sessions in areas such as product building, financing, funding, business development, or IP & legal, the participating teams can expect valuable benefits such as free accommodation in the brand new TECHHOUSE location for the entire period of the 4-month intensive acceleration phase, as well as the chance to receive an investment of up to € 50,000.00 from RLB Styria.

Following the 4-month intensive acceleration phase, the participating teams also have the opportunity to refine their business ideas for another 8 months in a long-term acceleration phase.

In addition, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), the Know-Center - Research Center for Big Data, AI and Data-Driven Business, Styria, the AC Styria Mobility Cluster, the Gründungsgarage, Silicon Alps Cluster, the Center for Knowledge and Innovation Transfer (ZWI), the Austrian Angels Investors Association (AAIA), the female factor, and AI Austria are already on board as network partners.Interested teams can apply for the program at now. The application deadline is early March 2021.
