8. INNOlounge - Invitation 2 Innovation


How do you succeed in developing successful business models from innovative ideas? Which factors have to be considered? Which levers should be used? These questions were the focus of the 8th INNOlounge on September 16, 2021.

Under the title "Invitation 2 Innovation - How innovative ideas become successful business models", interested representatives from business and technology met in the venerable premises of the orangery in Graz's Burggarten. Around 60 participants accepted the invitation from the Human Technology Cluster, the AC Styria Mobility Cluster and the Green Tech Cluster.

Pascale Schneider (Managing Director of KOO Innovationsmarketing) gave a good overview of practical methods and examples in the keynote lecture “Market-oriented innovation development with a system”. She showed how important it is for companies to systematically include customer needs and market conditions in their innovation strategy and change processes.

Then four successful companies that took part in the EFRE funding project (Enabling Innovation or Enabling Digital Innovation) provided impulses, inputs and insights from their practice.

In addition to figures, data and facts about the company, Andreas Leitner (Managing Director evon GmbH) presented its diverse portfolio of products and services, which also resulted from market demand.
The traditional, owner-managed company pewag engineering GmbH, which is active in special machine construction and automation technology, presented Markus Scheibner (Managing Director) and, in addition to the extensive product range, also gave a small insight into the Enabling Innovation funding project.
Manuel Leal Garcia (Managing Director Probando GmbH) gave insights into the company history of the start-up and how the business model developed from an idea. He also emphasized the importance of market observation and flexible product adaptation.
Nico Teuschler (Research & Development Manager TLL The Longevity Labs GmbH) completed the presentations with his input. In addition to the history of the development of the product spermidine, he conveyed the challenges of business model development and what is important for the company in the field of marketing.

After the short presentations, the guests enjoyed networking in the beautiful orangery and on the terrace in the castle garden.
